Ant Control in Illinois and Wisconsin

Ants are more than just a nuisance; they can also be destructive. A homeowner’s first instinct may be to grab a do-it-yourself spray to repel the pesky insects; however, that will only temporarily solve their issue. The insects will inevitably return and can find ways to invade your home using the tiniest of spaces. Partner with the professionals at A-Action Pest Control, and you’ll enjoy our 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, our professional, knowledgeable team, and $75 off your first ant service (restrictions may apply).

Ant Control You Can Count On

It's hard to keep ants out of the kitchen once they find their way in. They can get into everything—your cabinets, your sink, on your walls, and more. So, when an issue arises, timeliness is important. We offer scheduling to fit your needs and guarantee your satisfaction. At A-Action, our ant elimination is proven, simple, and effective.

Our ant control process in Illinois and Wisconsin looks like this:

  • Our exterminators will conduct a thorough inspection of your property to identify what species has invaded your space.
  • We will report our findings to you with a plan on how to effectively eliminate the pests.
  • Our highly-trained exterminators will treat your home for ants.
  • We will prevent new infestations by routinely treating the exterior of your home in the following months.

Common House Ants

Learn About Pavement Ants

Pavement ants are typically found on sidewalks but can make their way inside your home. They are typically found along baseboards and are smaller and more slender than the Odorous House ant. Their heads are as large, or larger, than their bodies.

Learn About Odorous House Ants

Odorous House ants, also known as “sugar ants,” are small and black. While they don’t sting or cause damage to your property, they do release an odorous smell when they die. The Odorous House ant is typically found traveling along a trail in search of a food source. They can have several queens in different locations, and the colonies may frequently move, which makes these insects difficult to eradicate. Typically, it is a bad idea to use do-it-yourself insecticide along the visible trails to try to eradicate this type of ant because the extra stress on the colonies could result in the queens splitting up, and you having to deal with even more trails. It is more effective to give us a call and we’ll take care of the burden for you.

Learn About Carpenter Ants

Sometimes these little ants are mistaken for termites, and, in fact, they do destroy wood as well! Carpenter ants can cause significant damage to wood, particularly soft wood. They can even compromise the structural integrity of your home if left unchecked. Call us today if you think you have a problem.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your treatments safe for my family and pets?

Yes! We use EPA-approved products and follow strict safety guidelines to ensure your family and pets are protected during and after treatment.

Do I really need recurring treatments?

Recurring treatments are the best way to prevent ants from coming back. Ants are persistent and often return if only treated once. With scheduled service, we protect your home year-round and stop new colonies before they settle in.

How do ants get into my home?

Ants are small and resourceful. They can enter through cracks, gaps in doors or windows, plumbing lines, or even tiny holes in walls. Once they find a food or water source, they leave a trail that others follow, making infestations grow quickly.

What makes A-Action different from other pest control companies?

We combine affordability with high-quality service. Our exterminators are state-certified, highly trained, and committed to providing safe, effective ant control. We stand by our work with a satisfaction guarantee.

We had an infestation of yellow jackets. A-Action took professional care of us and reassured us. They performed high quality work and I would recommend them for their good attention to the problem and the solution. They are excellent.

A Action gets an A+!!! We used them to address some recurring bees nests at our home and Alex serviced that for us with no issue. I then contracted them to address my son's home that had previously been serviced by Smithereens. Not once in two years did Smithereens EVER discuss locating vulnerable areas where mice may try to enter since he lives on a golf course. Phil assessed the problem immediately. I called Phil back to address a concern and they had him there within 48 hours. As a Real Estate Broker dealing with exterminator requests, I will gladly recommend them to my clients.
